 The Tex Pistols
Kowalski's Markets Gazebo Stage |
The Tex Pistols Band could not be much further from Texas, and nobody in the band is from Texas, but that does not stop these four Minneapolis vets of stage and studio from producing some seriously kick butt music. The sound is classic yet new all at once. |
The Big Strong Men White Bear Lake Mitsubishi Suzuki 3rd Street Stage |
The Big Strong Men is a small collection of genre destroying, bad mood crushing, real American music. This is the sound of a band having fun and doing it through really well written and perfectly performed roots rock music |
 The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra
White Bear Lake Mitsubishi Suzuki 3rd Street Stage |
The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra (GCO) is a unique and powerful musical ensemble that fuses an eclectic mix of original and traditional bluegrass-edged tunes with jazz and world/fusion elements. Their music is Chick Corea meets The Dixie Dregs meets A Prairie Home Companion. |
 Skittish Kowalski's Markets Gazebo Stage
|
Skittish is folk-rock with thorns.
Skittish is suburban surrender and sexual tension.
Most of all, Skittish is the collection of Minneapolis musicians,
led by Jeff Noller and Vonnie Kyle, who have mixed their talents
into the gumbo that is 'The Perfect Shade of Green.'

 Redpath
Kowalski's Markets Gazebo Stage
|
Redpath is a dynamic trio of sisters from Minnesota who have been singing together for more years than most people can count and all three agree that they are much better together than they are apart. As the oldest of the three at 25, Lauren embodies the quintessential girl next-door persona. Her warmth, compassion and storytelling heart is effortlessly demonstrated in their music as she writes Redpath's songs. |
 Davina & the Vagabonds
White Bear Lake Mitsubishi Suzuki 3rd Street Stage |
"...First was Twin Cities singer-pianist Davina Sowers, who sounds like the daughter of Leon Redbone and Betty Boop trained on piano by Randy Newman. Backed by an upright bassist and trombonist, Sowers delighted with some sassy originals and sly covers of Billie Holiday, Fats Domino and "Has Anybody Seen My Gal". Her slurring, Southern voice (she moved here from Key West, Fla., in 2005) sounded affected and alluring at the same time."
-JON BREAM, Star Tribune |
Brian David Band Kowalski's Markets Gazebo Stage

With identity comes a confidence that the music you create can have a positive effect on those who listen. The Brian David Band has an identity that makes their music unique in many circles in the Twin Cities. |
